Obstetric services

Congratulations!

We look forward to caring for you during your pregnancy. To book an appointment, please contact us at 780-461-6220.

Things to know about our clinic.

  • Shared Call Schedule: Our Obstetricians work together to allow for 24 hour hospital care for our patients. As such, your doctor may not be the doctor delivering your baby. Rest assured this system is in place to provide the highest quality and safest environment for your delivery.

  • When your Doctor is Away or Unavailable: Occasionally, you may need to see your doctor’s partner for your appointment. When you see another doctor at the clinic, you can continue to expect great care as they will have access to your care plan, lab results and ultrasounds.

  • We cannot accommodate requests to only see a female physician: We are certain you will appreciate the care of every member of our Obstetrician team.

  • Wait times at appointments: trust us - we don’t like to run behind either! However, if there are one or two (or more!) unexpected complications, the doctor will take the time to address the issues, which can sometimes put the doctor off schedule. We are constantly working to help the clinic run on time, and thank you for your patient understanding.

The South Side Women’s Health Centre has been helping families in the Edmonton region for the last 70 years, guiding them through everything from routine deliveries to more complicated procedures. At every step of the way, we take the time to answer your questions and personalize your care - on your terms.

Our services around care during pregnancy and delivery focus on:

  • Low risk pregnancies

  • High risk pregnancies, including high blood pressure, diabetes, age 35+ pregnancies

  • Vaginal birth

  • Caesarean birth

  • Trial of Labour After Cesarean section (TOLAC)

  • Multiple births i.e twins and triplets
