Dr. Prior grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University followed by medical school at the University of Manitoba. She completed her residency training in Edmonton at the University of Alberta, obtaining her certificate in Obstetrics & Gynecology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. During Residency, Dr. Prior was awarded Obstetrical Medicine Resident of the Year and ICU Learner of the Year at the Misericordia Hospital. She is currently a clinical lecturer at the University of Alberta in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  

Dr. Prior's special interests include maternal medical disorders of pregnancy, high risk pregnancy, critical care obstetrics, early pregnancy optimization and gynecologic surgery.

When not at work, Dr. Prior enjoys spending time with her family and two fur babies, and she loves exploring Edmonton's River Valley.
