Dr. Hirt-Walsh is a life-long Edmontonian, earning her BSc with distinction, medical degree and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, SOGC, ACOG, and AAGL. She has received numerous teaching awards, is a qualified and regular ALARM instructor (Advances in Labour and Risk Management) and is the recipient of two Gold Humanism Honour Society Awards.

Her clinical interests include high risk pregnancy, twin pregnancies, early pregnancy complications and optimization, early pregnancy loss, minimally invasive Gynecology surgery, endometriosis, fibroids, heavy periods and complex contraception. Dr. Hirt-Walsh values evidence-based practice, continuing medical education and patient autonomy, recognizing that patients are the most important member of their health care team. 

She loves spending time with her growing family, our amazing river valley, podcasts, and Edmonton’s arts and theatre scene.
