Dr. Corbett moved with his family from Galway Ireland, to Northern Alberta to work in family medicine and after 3 years in a rural practice, his family moved to Edmonton where he did a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta while training as a Colposcopist at the Cross Cancer Institute.

Dr. Corbett’s special interests include cervical cancer screening, being co-director of the early pregnancy clinic at the Grey Nuns Hospital and fulfilling various roles in leadership and education. Along with his colleagues at the SSWC, he shares a passion for providing the best possible integrated and family-centred care to the women he cares for.

Dr. Corbett is one of the longest-serving doctors at the South Side Women’s Health Centre, joining the practice along with Dr. Bow in 1990. He has enjoyed watching the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Grey Nuns Hospital grow into one of the largest units in Western Canada.

His passions are cycling, cross-country skiing, following Manchester United, and practicing his Spanish skills with his Spanish patients.
